Tyler Hill clinches Allison Legacy National Championship

Tyler Hill will clinch the Allison Legacy Series National Championship with just a start in the season's finale' on December 10th.

Hill grabbed the pole and led the most laps this past Saturday at Concord Motorsports Park. Hill was running second on the final lap when he spun contending with lap traffic going for the win and ended the race in fifth.

"It has been an awesome season and we have just one more race to go. We want to win the last one just like we want to win them all," Hill explained.

Hill will match his brother Timmy's title from 2009 with one of the most impressive seasons in the series history.

"We have won 12 races this season. We gave a few away too. I can't say enough about this team and the season we have had to date. It means so much to my family to win this championship!"

Tyler Hill finishes 2nd, closes in on title clinch

Tyler Hill is with just two races from winning the 2011 Allison Legacy Series Championship after finishing 2nd at Florence Motor Speedway this past weekend.

Hill started 3rd on the grid but the 200 lapper was not enough for him to win his 13th of the season and came home in the runner-up position.

"It will be tough for the competition to deny Tyler of his title with just two races left and over a 80 point lead," stated Rick Ware.

"The kid has a ton of talent and he has accomplished all but one goal this year! The goal is now in sight."

Tyler will now prep for the November 26th event at Concord Motorsports Park.

Tyler Hill finishes 3rd at Hickory

Tyler Hill was finally denied in the Allison Legacy Series but it was hard work for the competitors to detour point leader.

Hill took the lead and pulled away from the pack by the halfway mark of the event only to have the field bunch back up after a caution. Rival John Nemechek took the lead after a bump and run move but Tyler quickly reclaimed the lead.

The two battled back and forth until Hill got spun and restarted at the tail of the field with just a handful of laps remaining.

Tyler drove like a champion up to the 3rd position as the checkered flag fell.

"We were looking for the win but will take the 3rd and the points lead with us. John raced hard and tonight was his night. Congrats to him and his team," stated Hill

Tyler rolls to win #12

Tyler Hill had his work cut out for him this past weekend at Hickory Motor Speedway in the Allison Legacy Series.

Hill charged to his 12th win of the season in one of the most exciting races of the year.

"It got a little crazy there at the end. Our goal is to win and not settle, and if there is a crease we are going to go for it", stated Tyler.

Hill made contact on the last lap with the leader as the two entered the corner and moved himself into the lead as the checkered flag dropped.

"They say rubbins racing, and we had the opportunity to drive underneath and get the win. We touched but not hard and we came home with the win. People can say we have won enough but we work too hard. I am not doing our team any good if I dont give 100%. The fans, the teams and the sponsors expect that."

Tyler Hill goes into record books with 11th win of season!

There have been very few things that have been able to slow down Tyler Hill in 2011! The young developmental driver from Rick Ware Racing drove through storms literally to get to South Carolina and the record books.

Hill has been dominating the Allison Legacy Series in 2011, capturing 10 wins in 11 races heading to Greenville-Pickens Speedway in South Carolina this weekend.

"We unloaded fast once again, capturing the pole," stated Tyler. "They inverted the Top 4 qualifiers and I had to start in the second row. Mark (crew chief) had the car set up perfectly and I was able to make the pass for the lead with eight laps to go and take the win."

Tyler now holds the Allison Legacy Series record for most wins in a season with 11, surpassing the record set by his brother Timmy in 2009.

"I'm really proud of what he has been able to do this year," stated Timmy Hill. "If anyone was going to break the record, at least it stayed in the family!"

Tyler will look to continue his dominance as the goal of the National Championship is now in sight.
